INTRODUCTION

Most entrepreneurs don’t fail because they lack effort — they fail because their vision isn’t clear enough to follow.

V.I.V.I.D. Vision changes that. It’s not a bland mission statement or a few motivational phrases on a wall. It’s a detailed, emotionally charged picture of the future you’re building — so clear and compelling that everyone on your team can see it, feel it, and believe in it.

FUNERAL FOR MISSION AND PURPOSE STATEMENTS

Mission and purpose statements are so yesterday — right alongside corporate flowcharts, fax machines, and “company values” that no one remembers. It’s time to say goodbye to the outdated, cookie-cutter statements that inspire no one and drive nothing.

If you want to build a business and life that excites you, don’t start with a mission statement. Start with vision.

A vision is alive. It’s emotional. It pulls you forward. It should feel a little uncomfortable — even scary. Because if your vision doesn’t stretch you, it won’t grow you.

WHAT IS A V.I.V.I.D. VISION?

V.I.V.I.D. Vision is more than words — it’s a blueprint for your future success. It should define what your company looks like, feels like, and achieves at a specific point in time (typically 1 to 5 years out).
Here’s what makes it powerful:

V – Visionary

Look beyond the present and imagine what’s truly possible. Describe a future that excites you and your team — not just what’s safe or expected.

I – Inspiring

Your vision should light a fire — in you and everyone who reads it. It should move people emotionally, not just intellectually.

V – Valuable

Your vision must create real worth — for customers, employees, and stakeholders. It connects purpose to performance.

I – Identifiable

Anyone should instantly recognize your company in that future picture. It’s not abstract — it’s tangible, specific, and real.

D – Directional

A VIVID Vision becomes your compass for every decision. It aligns your people, priorities, and performance around a shared destination.

When your team knows exactly where you’re going, alignment replaces confusion and progress accelerates. Decisions become simpler. Culture strengthens. Momentum builds.
